Is your country on the right track?

After watching yesterday's debate between the five favourite candidates to the French presidential elections, the question of citizen's trust in public institutions came again to my mind as a fundamental sign of democratic healthiness. The graphic above is a good example of what should really worry us.

In October-November 2016, when questioned if their countries were on the right track, around 62% of citizens from 25 nations were not positive about it. And who were the champions of this pessimistic feeling? Yep, right after the Mexicans, 88% of French citizens believe their country is on the wrong track.
